ThaddleDo Farm

Lessons

Thaddledo Farm (TDF) specializes in teaching children, beginner adults, and timid riders the basics of horsemanship as well as a balanced seat. Students will have the opportunity to compete in local/regional shows, if desired. The most common age to actually begin riding lessons is 7-9 years of age (call us to discuss younger riders). Pony rides are available by appointment to younger horse enthusiasts, who want the opportunity for hands on experience. TDF instructors are creative in holding students interest and challenging them to succeed, while building stronger communication between horse and rider by teaching students with positive reinforcement. Riding lessons here are fun!

All students begin riding lessons in an individual lesson. Students must stay in the individual lessons until they are able to properly tack up and control their mount at a walk and a trot, after which time the student may choose to go into a group lesson program. Groups can be established by request on riding ability and age of the riders.

Beginner riders will have lessons in an enclosed arena until they can walk, trot and canter safely.

Thaddledo Farm is safe and private, down a quiet road on the south side of High Springs. We are located approximately 25 minutes northwest of Gainesville, off NW 142 Ave and are accepting a limited number of students ranging in age from 7 to adult. We are by appointment only.

Lessons are taught one-on-one, and students are able to bond with their lesson horse, and we can switch up horses as the student progresses. Local showing is also available for students who are interested and capable. Our facility will provide a full size dressage arena, a small round pen for your private secure one-on-one lessons. We do not offer trail rides at this time.

Lessons here are challenging, yet fun, to make the students the best equestrians they can be. Children and adults will either come away from my program and still want a horse/want to ride, or know that they are not really interested in the hard work. Save a horse, and save a lot of money by hiring me first.

I can also travel to your farm to give lessons for an additional cost. We have access to over 650 acres of family owned private land for trail rides as well.

Please visit Cactus Jacks Trail Rides for more information for a nice trail riding outfit. Please tell them you got their info from my web site. We do not offer trail rides to the general public, nor do we offer “riding a horse”. We are a lessons facility only.
