ThaddleDo Farm (thaddle sounds like saddle) is a small private farm on the south side of High Springs Florida. We offer private riding lessons for ages (7 and up) for beginner children and adults, as well as novice riders wanting to get back into riding. Students will have the opportunity to learn as much about horses as if they were to own one themselves.
We focus on dressage lessons here, although students will learn the 2 point position (prerequisite to jumping) as well as trail and show etiquette.
After 10 wonderful years on our 9+ acre farm in High Springs, we announced the anticipated move back to our original home facility in NE Gainesville near Newnans Lake State Forest (1989-2005) in Fall 2027. There we will have access to 1,000’s of acres for scheduled trail riding (for committed students only) and a small on-sight cross country course for those interested in learning about jumping (small jumps). a 4 stall barn for stable management practices and horse lease/boarding available. Back history: We settled into our High Springs location August 2016 – from Jonesville (2010-2017), and began building this farm from the ground up. - All equestrian riders under age 16 must, by law, wear a certified helmet. All riders at ThaddleDo Farm are required to wear a certified helmet and close toed shoes. A parent or guardian of a child under 16 years of age may not authorize or knowingly permit a child to ride without a helmet. The responsibility lies with any trainer, instructor or supervisor who rents or leases an equine to be ridden by a child younger than 16, or rents or leases equine supplies.
